Your info, handled kindly.
The short version: we only collect what we need to send you good vibes, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you join the Wave, we save:
- your first name and email address
- which page you signed up from
- when you signed up and when you confirmed
You can browse the whole site without giving us anything.
If you’re a member
Once you’ve confirmed, we also save:
- your WooID (like @moonbabe), if you claim one
- anything you send with Submit Woo: the photo, text or link, your note, and when you sent it
- when we last emailed you a sign-in link, so we can tell when it expires
- if you joined through Sign up a friend, which member invited you
Submit Woo entries are sent to Karma’s inbox so she can read them. If Karma approves your woo, the photo, text or link goes on the public Woo Board with her rating and your WooID. Your name, email and your note to Karma stay private. She won’t post a photo of a person without asking first.
Signing up a friend
When you invite a friend, we save the first name and email you enter and send them one email, which mentions your first name and WooID. If they don’t confirm, they won’t hear from us again.
How we use it
To send you Woogorithm emails: mantras, kind reviews of the latest woo, and good-vibe check-ins from Karma. We only email you after you tap the confirm link in your first email. Submit Woo entries are used for the Woo Board and Rate the Woo reviews. We never sell, rent or trade your info.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the signup list and Submit Woo entries.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google Workspace runs Karma’s inbox, where Submit Woo entries and your replies arrive.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s fonts, so Google sees a standard web request when a page loads.
Cookies and tracking
No ads and no tracking cookies. After you confirm, your browser remembers that you’re on the Wave, your WooID, and a private member key that keeps you signed in for Submit Woo. These stay in your browser’s storage on your device. The member key is only sent to us when you use a members-only feature. Tap “Not you?” on Submit Woo to sign out on that device.
Unsubscribe or delete your info
Email [email protected] and we’ll take you off the list and delete your details, including your WooID and anything you sent with Submit Woo (we’ll take it off the Woo Board too). You can also ask us what we have saved about you.
